Forest Hands - family
conservation events
Forest Hands is a great day for the
family to come out to Epping Forest to get a 'hands on' experience
in doing conservation work in a relaxed atmosphere. Take part
in a range of practical conservation tasks and learn skills to help
improve various habitats in the Forest.
Depending on the time of year and location of the work groups may find themselves involved in felling small trees, pond dredging, bracken or holly clearing. All of these activities are arranged with the help of the Forest's ecologists and so are all helping to promote various habitats.
Everyone is welcome to attend for as long or as short a time as they
can manage. The day will include a BBQ lunch and an afternoon
activity for children. All children must be accompanied by an
adult.
Booking is essential, please contact us for details of
the site and to confirm attendance.
We request donations of £3.50 per adult and £2.50 per child at
Forest Hands to contribute towards our cost. These days
normally run from 10:30 to 14:00
