What's coming up soon? June Saturday 14th June 2008 July Saturday 12th July August Forest Hands Week 10:30 am to 2:30 pm each day As with all of our Forest Hands events, it is open to anyone to come along and help. We will provide the tools and guidance and all you need is sensible clothing (boots or old trainers, long trousers and a long sleeved top (to avoid scratches from holly)) and a packed lunch. Children are welcome to attend although they must be accompanied by an adult. Whether you can come for a couple of hours or a couple of days we would be pleased to see you and pleased to get your help with this project to return this site to its former glory. From time to time the EFCT runs family conservation days (Forest Hands) . Everyone is welcome to attend for as long or as short a time as they can manage. The Trust provide a simple hot lunch for which donations are accepted. Depending on the time of year and location of the work groups may find themselves involved in felling small trees, pond dredging, bracken or holly clearing. All of these activities are arranged with the help of the Forest's ecologists and so are all helping to promote various habitats.
